The Newman Loved His Racing
I was going through some old images from the days I photographed the CART series races. I met Paul Newman at Road America where I gave him a ride back to the pits after he wrecked his car at turn 13. He was mad at himself for wrecking the car and didn't want to walk all the way back to his trailer in the rain and he didn't want to deal with the crowds. He asked if I was parked near by and and If I could give him a ride back. I was finished shooting in that area, and I said I would be glad to give him a ride back. Hell he was Paul Newman. Got him back, he didn't have his keys to his trailer, so for 20 minutes, Paul Newman and I talked about racing sitting in my Chevy Cavalier. After that he invited me into the Newman Haas hospitality area and we continued our conversation for a while longer having some beers. That was great. Many years after that, Mr Newman remembered me and would always would stop and chat with me for a few minutes. That man loved his racing.

Ode To The WIDELUX Camera
For many years the Widelux camera was one of my favorite cameras to shoot occasionally. In todays era, digital wide angle is common place on every camera from iPhone to iPad to a cast of thousands.
For over 30 years actor Jeff Bridges has shot almost exclusively with the Widelux with B&W film. In 2013 he was rewarded the Infinity Award from the International Center of Photography. Here's a link to a short video about Jeff and his Widelux camera. I urge you to watch and enjoy it.
